SAL 15th Annual Spring Dinner & Backyard BBQ Competition
The
Sons of the American Legion Squadron 255 will be holding the Annual
Dinner & Backyard BBQ Competition on Saturday, May 16th. All proceeds benefit Clement's Cuties Foundation.
Food
will be served Noon until? The menu is Sliced Pork BBQ Dinners and Hamburgers & Hotdogs.
Menu (prices to be updated):
Sliced Pork BBQ Sandwich Only (and a little slaw)
Dinner Plate (Sliced Pork BBQ with Roll, Baked Beans, and Cole Slaw)
Hamburger / Cheeseburger with Chips
Hotdog with Chips
French Fries (side order)

BACKYARD
BBQ COMPETITION
The
Backyard BBQ Competition is open to amateur BBQ enthusiasts who want to
show off their skill on the grill. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize trophies
will be awarded. (The $500 Meat Box is the raffle grand prize, not the competition prize.) BBQ Categories are:
Baby Back Pork Ribs
Chicken
Mystery Category*
*This
is a separate category that will be judged on its own. This is a "Bring
Your Own Meat" category. The meat shall be uncooked prior to the
competition. Separate 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize trophies will be awarded.
Each
team can have up to 4 members per team with 15 teams maximum. Grills
and smokers must be wood, chip, charcoal, or wood pellet types (no propane or
electric).
Entry fee is $40 per team.
The
meat will be provided by the the SAL for the main competition. If
participating in the Mystery Competetition, the meat will be provided
by the contestant (UNCOOKED).
